Our History

Bible Baptist Church in Wilton was established in 1975 under the leadership of Dan Howard and a few other who sought to establish a missions minded assembly of believers in southern Shelby County. 

Pastor Tom Hammett was called to be their first pastor in 1975 and served until 2010 when he semi-retired. Under his leadership the minsitry built their auditorium, fellowship hall, and gymnasium. He established a culture of expositioanl Bible teaching and preaching that continues today. Bible Baptist Church joined IFCA International in 1980 and continues to be interdependent with this network of churches in the United States. He continues to serve as the visitation pastor here at WBBC. 

Pastor Jim Thompson was called to be the second pastor of WBBC in 2010. He has continued to move the church forward in attendence and spiritual growth as many be disicples of Christ as a result of his ministry. Pastor Jim has served on the board of directors of IFCA for a number of years.
