Who We Are

Wilton Bible Baptist Church exists to bring glory to God by calling people to become disciples. As a bell gives a sound to a community so we desire to be a bright sound for the gospel in Shelby county. Come join us as we seek to  shine the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in Jesus Christ.  In obedience to God’s Holy Word, it is our mission to teach the truth of God’s Word and to equip God’s people to do the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).

What We Believe

God Loves You

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

None Are Good Enough

Our sins have separated us from God.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:23

God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.  God's definition of "Good" is "Sinless".  Thus what this verse says is none are good enough, we all "fall short" of God's standard.

Sin Must Be Paid For

“For the wages of sin is death....” Romans 6:23a
"Wages" means a payment we have earned. The payment we earn for our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.

The Good News

All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”   Romans 5:8

"... but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Romans 6:23b
"Gift"?  Unlike wages, a gift is not earned it is given.  You can accept or reject a gift.  Accept this great gift given by God today!

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:13
Perhaps you "could call upon the name of the Lord" and express the thoughts of your heart by talking to God at this very moment...

...Lord, I know that I am a sinner and my sin separates me from receiving Your incredible gift of love.  Today I accept Your gift to me.  Today I call upon the name of the Lord believing Jesus died in my place and all that was sin in me has died with Him.  Please forgive my sin, my rebellion against You, and my rejection of Your great love.  Please lead and guide my life from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Jesus often compared God's kingdom to a banquet, a wedding banquet — a wonderful celebration of love. We invite you to such a celebration as we seek to be a local church that experiences and expresses joy as we grow in the love of God.

People of all ages and backgrounds are coming together to learn what it means to have a meaningful relationship with God and with others. And we are learning how to be part of God’s incredible purpose to express love to our world.

Whatever brings you to this area, whether it's for a short time as a student of the University of Montevallo or job-related career path, we invite you to join the celebration and experience the purpose of God. To know Him is great joy!

Jude 24-25:  Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (NASB)
